BIERMANN, Josefa - July 2, 1923 - September 24, 2022
Released from a decade-long journey with dementia, Josefa has now joined her loving husband, Jakob (predeceased 2011).
Josefa met Jakob in Germany in 1952.
Jakob left for Canada in 1953, but it was not long afterwards that Josefa left Germany to join him (1955).
Within days of her arrival, the two were married.
Not just a partner in love, Josefa was a constant support to Jakob as his construction business flourished.
As the two retired, they enjoyed travelling the world, spending winters in Florida or summers at their Kawartha cottage.
Whenever the opportunity would arise, Josefa would delight in caring for her grandbabies.
Josefa leaves behind her devoted children, Ingrid (Gil), Margot (Sean), and Robert (Mary); five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
With tremendous thanks, the family wants to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Advent Valleyview Residence for the care and attention paid to Josefa throughout her six years of residency there.
A private funeral for family has been held.
