CASKENETTE, Wilfred Joseph - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wilfred Joseph Caskenette, on September 24, 2022, at the age of 94 at his home in Etobicoke.
Survived by his brother Edward and many nieces and nephews.
Wilfred was predeceased by brothers Robert and Ronnie and sisters; Marquerite, Eileen, Shirley and Joan.
Wilfred was a longtime resident of Mimico and a parishioner of St. Leo's Church.
You would often find him riding his bicycle, working around his house or 'back in the day' at the Blue Goose Tavern with friends.
He loved his fishing trips with his friends but always mentioned how the "big one got away".
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Etobicoke, ON. Funeral Mass on Monday 10 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 277 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, ON. Reception after the Mass in the Funeral Home Lounge, burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church.
