FISHER, Donald - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald George Fisher at the age of 91, on September 16, 2022.
He passed peacefully, after a brief illness at the Georgetown Hospital.
Beloved husband of Janet for 67 years; and loving father of Susan, David (Caroline) and Douglas (Sylvie).
He will be greatly missed by his granddaughter, Jessica, whom he loved very much.
Don is predeceased by his parents, John and Isabel; and his brother, John.
Born in Kingston, Ontario, Don developed a lifelong passion for aviation after learning to fly at the Kingston Flying Club.
He began his career with Trans Canada Airlines in 1951, and would continue with Air Canada until his retirement after 40 years of service.
His aviation story is a remarkable one, with far too many accomplishments to list, he was a true pioneer of Canadian aviation.
A full life and one worth living, he will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
A private family service was held. Don's friends are invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life at the Brampton Flying Club, 13691 McLaughlin Road, Caledon, ON, in the Main Hangar 1:00-4:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
