Anderson SherylANDERSON, Sheryl Mae (nee CROZIER)    -  After a short but courageous battle with cancer and cardiac complications, Sheryl passed away peacefully, on November 14, 2022, just shy of her 86th birthday with her family at her side.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 64 years, Kent Anderson.

Beloved mother to Pattie (John) Gailer, Peter (Susan) Anderson, and Ruth (Mike) Peters.

She was well loved by and held a special bond with each of her grandchildren: Ryan (Rafi), Jackie (Nate), Lindsay (Zac), Ellen (Karl), Caroline (Ross), Marc, Amanda, Kaitlyn (Becca), and Madi (Alex).

She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren: Jackson, Lia, Lucy, Carter, Kenley, Marek, Parker and Brayden. Sheryl was born in Cobden, Ontario, and raised her family in Toronto.

In their retirement, she and Kent spent 20 years living at the cottage before moving to Peterborough, and then Kingston.

She was predeceased by her parents, Chris and Edna Crozier; and her sister, Leith Whitty.

As a talented quilter, she leaves behind a legacy of beautiful quilts, blankets, wall hangings and other handmade treasures.

Sheryl taught for many years for the Etobicoke Board of Education. One of her proudest and most satisfying accomplishments was her instrumental role in opening First Stage Childcare Centres in three Etobicoke high schools.

Her family is forever grateful to the staff on the cardiac floor of Kingston General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they provided, particularly Dr. DeJong; her medical team; and her nurses, Amanda and Hope.

Donations in Sheryl's name can be made to the Kingston General Hospital Foundation.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
