HARRISON, Rae McNair - March 18, 1931 - November 19, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Rae McNair Harrison announces his passing on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the age of 91.
Rae was predeceased by his wife, Ruth, after 67 years of marriage, his parents and five siblings.
Rae is survived by his loving children, Jeff (Natalie) and Sue (Steve). He was the very proud Grandpa to Alex and Kyle.
Rae was born and raised in Ripley, Ontario, but decided at a young age that farming was not for him. Moving to Toronto, Rae obtained his CA designation in 1955, and was employed with Imperial Optical for over 25 years until he decided to venture into private practice.
In 1983, his son, Jeff, joined him forming Harrison & Harrison Chartered Accountants. One of Rae's proudest moments was when his daughter, Sue, joined the family business.
Rae was a businessman through and through; as he also obtained his real estate broker's licence, and then partnered with a family friend in the insurance business after obtaining his insurance broker's licence.
A visitation will be held at Turner & Porter, Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 3-6 p.m. Cremation to follow.
