Barnett MaryBARNETT, Mary Lyn    -  Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on January 30, 2023.

Devoted daughter of Mina and Bill (deceased).

Loving sister of Beth, Barry and Bruce. Dear aunt of Andrew, Daniel, Brent (deceased), Vanessa and Jesse. Beloved sister-in-law of Cameron, Margo, Ethel and Lynda. Mary Lyn grew up in Leaside, attending Seneca School of Nursing.

After returning home with a couple of years' experience, she worked at Wellesley Hospital for a short time, then North York General Hospital pediatric intensive care, and then Hospital for Sick Children Cardiology for many years. Mary Lyn moved to a newly built apartment building on Queen Street East in 1995.

She was involved in this housing project from inception, as part of the collaboration team, providing input to all aspects of the units and shared spaces.

Mary Lyn will be remembered for her feisty personality, compassion for others, and her high standard of nursing care. Mary Lyn's family sincerely thanks the staff and volunteers at True Davidson Acres, Michael Garron Hospital Hemodialysis and Palliative Care Teams for their kind, considerate and respectful care.

Funeral will be held at Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church, 35 Wood Glen Road, Toronto, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at a later date.
