NICHOLSON, Barbara "Yvonne" (nee DuQUESNAY) -
November 10, 1934 - March 20, 2023
Passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 88, at Andy's House in Port Carling, Ontario.
Beloved wife of Ron "John" Nicholson; and loving mother of Louann Nicholson (Lawrence), Tony Nicholson (Wendy) and Ed Nicholson. Sister to Beverley Parker and Andrea Smidtas; predeceased by Patricia Powell and Richard DuQuesnay.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Roy and Violet DuQuesnay, Yvonne immigrated to Canada in 1955. Meeting Ron in 1957, they were married in February 1958 and recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Yvonne was primarily a stay-at-home Mom, but in addition to raising three kids, she also juggled part-time work that included selling Tupperware, Avon and more. She loved to bake, sew, knit, crochet and garden.
As per Yvonne's wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place in Gravenhurst.
