RAFTIS, Patrick "Pat" - At home in Ramara, with family by his side, on Monday, May 22, 2023, in his 95th year.
Pat Raftis, predeceased by his beloved wife, Gertrude "Trudie" Raftis.
Loving father of Anne McGowan (Fredrick) of Oshawa, Catherine Raftis of Ramara, and Karen Daly (Charles Dempsey) of Pickering.
Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jennifer McGowan (Terry Michaud), David McGowan (Stephanie), Brendan Daly (Kristin); and great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Miles McGowan, and Findley Michaud.
Predeceased by his sisters, Mary (Mike Epoch) and Rita (Leo Carlin); and his brothers, Gerald, Frank (Marie), John (Jean and Evelyn), and Michael (Ellen).
Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Bayshore Home Health, and in particular the wonderful and caring team of PSWs of Sherry, Ola, Abby, Cam, and Ashley, and RN, Sherry-Anne, whose dedication, kindness and compassion over the last year and a half was so very much appreciated by Dad and our entire family.
Friends and relatives will be received at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Sunday, May 28th, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. with Parish Prayers said in the parlour at 5:45 p.m. Then to St. Columbkille's Church, 4993 Hwy. 12, Ramara (Uptergrove), for Mass of Christian Burial and interment at St. Columbkille's Cemetery, on Monday, May 29th, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Charity of Your Choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
