Nobrega CliveNOBREGA, Clive Anthony Nobrega  -  Clive enjoyed a life well-lived with love, companionship, professional success and laughter.

Born on March 22, 1935 in Georgetown, British Guiana he passed away on January 7, 2024 in Mississauga, Ontario after a brief illness.

Clive began his working career with Manufacturers Life Insurance Company in Toronto in 1953 assuming progressively more senior roles in Ottawa, Barrie and London.

In 1966, he joined the federal government for the launch of the Canada Pension Plan and ended his professional career in a senior role with Canada Employment and Immigration in Ottawa.

He retired in 1995 and moved to Mississauga in 2002.

Clive will be dearly missed by his wife of 64 years, Margaret; and his sons Gary (Marlene), Robert (Sandra) and Ronald (Janice). His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Megan, Timothy and Christopher who continue the family tradition of academics with competitive sport.

Clive also leaves his brothers, Aubrey (Marguerite), Gerry (Gwen), Michael (Nancy), Mario (Doralice), Stephen (Gladys) and Martin (Andrea) as well as his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Clive Joseph; and by his sisters Leona (Harry), Joanne (Bernard), Doreen and infant sister Gertrude.

The Smith Family welcomed Clive into the fold, and he will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law Edwin (Elsie), George (Ruth), Frank (Theresa, Angela) and Russell have gone on to prepare a path for him.

Sisters-in-law Sr. Catherine Smith, Sr. Mary Smith (deceased) and Sr. Patricia Smith of Charlottetown, P.E.I. kept Clive and the extended family in their prayers throughout the years.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Trillium Health Partners and Credit Valley Hospitals and are grateful for the excellent care he received from Dr. George Wu and Dr. Husein Hamandi. As his health deteriorated, Clive's daughter-in-law Marlene (RPT), provided invaluable assistance.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral Mass at Saint Christopher's Church (1171 Clarkson Road, Mississauga, ON) at 11 a.m. on March 22nd. A reception will follow from Noon to 3 p.m.
