Richard Kenneth Poole

1959 - November 11, 2024

Surrounded by family, Richard Kenneth Poole passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa at the age of 65. Beloved husband and cherished partner to Jeannine (née Rensink) of Nestleton. Dear brother to Stephen Poole and his wife Debb, and loving brother-in-law to Jan Rensink (Tracy), Stephen Rensink (Nancy), Karin Lefler (Wayne), Nick Rensink (Juli), and Victoria Rensink.

Ken found great joy and hope in his faith and his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was deeply connected with his Port Perry Baptist Church family, especially treasuring the fellowship of the Thursday Morning Men’s Prayer Group, where he nurtured friendships and shared in the uplifting of family, friends, and community members through prayer. Romans 12:12, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer,” was a verse that brought him strength and comfort through his final years.

The family of Ken Poole will receive friends at Port Perry Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service celebrating Ken’s life at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jim Clemens. (The service will also be livestreamed.)

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Port Perry Baptist Church or the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre in Oshawa.

Memories, photos, and condolences may be shared at Wagg Funeral Home.
