VERNON, Sally Marina - Died peacefully on October 23, 2018 with family in attendance.

Sally was the daughter of Philip Clarke Garratt II and Jessie Featherstonhaugh Garratt.

Sally was predeceased by her husband Tom Vernon as well as her brothers John Garratt and Phil Garratt III.

She also lost one son, Timothy Vernon earlier this year.

She is survived by sons Chris and Peter Vernon as well as five grandchildren (Jessica, Sarah, Taylor, Bailey and Jack Vernon) who loved her quick wit and stories of life in Toronto and Muskoka.

Muskoka (Lake of Bays) was a large part of her life. Her grandfather, “Daddy Jack” Featherstonhaugh, had started the love affair with Muskoka in 1905 which continued on for generations and many cottages.

She lived a remarkable and full life and enjoyed many friends, extensive international travel, her Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, crossword puzzles, Scrabble and bridge. Sally was an adventurous cook who loved to stretch the envelope in the kitchen.

Sally Garratt attended Brown School, Havergal College and University of Toronto before meeting Tom Vernon and creating a family from that union.

A celebration of her life is being arranged for immediate family.

Donations to the ALS Society of Canada would be appreciated.
