DWYER, Stanley Arnold - 1932 - 2022 With sadness, the family announces that Stanley passed away peacefully, at home on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Mississauga.
He will be remembered for his love of family, generosity to church and community, and his commitment to fairness, justice and human rights.
He is predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Janet, and leaves behind their four daughters, Lorna Brown (Pete), Joyce Heath (Ralston), Elaine Dwyer and Denise Dwyer (Jim Sugiyama).
He will be greatly missed by his 5 grandchildren, Brianna Brown-Wehrle, Blayne Brown, Jenelle Allen, Dwayne Heath and Wesley Cushnie, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, Oakville, on Saturday, June 18th, from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Funeral Service on Sunday, June 19, at 11 a.m. Burial following the service. Reception at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre, 1280 Dundas Street W. in Oakville.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Stanley Dwyer to the Black Youth Helpline and the Indigenous Blacks & Mi'kmaq (IB&M) Initiative at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University (a.k.a. Judge Corrine Sparks Award) would be appreciated.
