Chu HenryCHU, Henry Q.   - 1928 - 2022   -  Henry Q. Chu passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on May 27, 2022, with family at his bedside.

Henry was born in Vancouver, British Columbia.

During WWII, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.

Henry and his brothers Burk and Johnny managed Young Bros., a high-end green grocery in North Toronto for several decades.

One summer whilst attending a YMCA camp at Lake Couchiching, Ontario, Henry met the love of his life and his future loving wife Mary.

TUZI, Loreta (nee PANACCI)   -  Loreta, who loved to be called "Mama Rita" by her children and grandchildren, peacefully departed her loving family on Friday, May 27, 2022.

Mama Rita was born in Ridotti, Italia, on April 4, 1931, to Domenico and Cristina Panacci; sorella to Angelo, Giovanna, and Gennaro.

Beloved wife to Giuseppe "Papa Pepo" Tuzi, Loreta was mother to daughters, Lucia (husband Bernardo), Maria Pia, Paola (husband Tony), Maria (husband George), and son, Bruno (wife Josie).

HARRISON, George Bert  -  October 6, 1934 - May 27, 2022

Passed peacefully at the White Rock Seniors Village.

He is survived by his devoted wife, of 65 wonderful years, Sandra J. Harrison (Davis), his loving children Bert (Valerie), John (Sandra), and Amy (Richard Topping), and his beloved grandchildren George and Madisen, Jennifer and Jack and Karl and Paul, and his cherished great-grandchildren Siles, Ellie and Oliver, and Dallas and Hallie.

Carfagnini DoloresCARFAGNINI, Dolores Bernadette   -  July 20, 1938 – May 26, 2022

Sadness overwhelms us at the sudden loss of our beautiful mother, Thursday, May 26, 2022, though she did not die alone.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony Carfagnini (2008), eternally together again.

Mother of Carolyn, Enrico, Raymond and Rosemary.

Daughter of the late Rose Tomas (Tomasicchio) (nee Bonamosso) and Anthony (Tony) Bagnato, stepfather Joseph Tomasicchio. Loving "Nana" to Chantelle, Katey and Anthony, and "Great-Nana" to Lucas and Makayla.

Mom was so kind and caring to all who knew her.

Smart, honest, loved to laugh, fabulous cook, an avid reader, writer, a beautiful soul, who loved her family, deeply.

DECKELBAUM, Joseph   - On Thursday, May 26, 2022, peacefully, at Sunnybrook Veteran's Wing. 

Beloved husband of the late Hannah Deckelbaum. 

Loving father and father-in-law of Dinah and Cory Kagan.

Roknic BozoROKNIC, BOŽO (Bob)   -  1949 - 2022  Passed away on May 26, 2022.

He leaves his loving wife Eve, much-loved father of Michael (Brianna) and Nikolina (Mike Fisher) and proud grandfather of Georgia.

He will be missed by brother Milan (Nada), sister Stana (Vaso), and sister-in-law Danica, nieces and nephews, Ljubica, Rose, Steve, Mary, George, Gloria and Bob.

Predeceased by sister Mara and brother George.

He will be fondly remembered by many friends.

Bob was an avid builder, lover of adventure, storyteller and devoted friend and family man.

Colman AnnCOLMAN, Ann (nee JOHNSTON)  - April 18, 1936 – May 26, 2022

Born in Toronto, Ontario on April 18, 1936.

Loving Mother of Dale Ann Brown (Jeff), Robin Jeremy Colman (June) and Courtney Susannah Colman.

Much loved Nana/Granny to Mallory Brown, Tyler Brown, Malcolm Colman, Aidan Colman, Patrick Gowen, and Sophie Gowen.

Daughter of the late Anne and Dr. H. W. "Johnnie" Johnston of Toronto.

Ann attended Bishop Strachan School (B.S.S.) and then earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Modern History from Trinity College at the University of Toronto.

Ann had a passion for figure skating.

ROSSI, Reno   -  On Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. Joseph's Hospital, at the age of 70.

Beloved husband of Colleen for 50 years.

Dear brother to the late Joanne Rossi and Gloria Hurst.

Brother-in-law to Patty and Greg Kopinski, Sharon Mullen, and the late Maureen Mullen and Ann Paris.

ZADO, Richard   -  Passed away peacefully at home, on May 26, 2022 at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Hilda (nee Weich) for 43 years until her passing in 2005.

Jeannette Stein, cherished daughter of the late Lilly and Nathan Chapman.

TAKEUCHI, Yuriko Lillie (nee ANDO)   -  Passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Michael Garron Hospital.

Daughter of the late Shigeki and Haruko Ando.

Dear Mother of son, Glenn (Donna) and daughter Deborah (Charles Doma).

Westmore MichaelWESTMORE, Michael Gordon   -  December 31, 1941 - May 25, 2022

With sadness we announce that Michael died peacefully and painlessly, at the Rekai Centre, Sherbourne Place, in his 81st year, after lengthy and valiant battles with kidney and lung disease.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Doris, and his brother, Peter, all of the Isle of Wight, and his beloved spouse, John D. (Jack) Stennett of Toronto, who died in 2004.

Michael was born on the Isle of Wight and commuted between there and Canada for a few years in the 1990's.

He moved to Canada permanently in the early 2000's to be with Jack. Michael became totally blind at about that time.

Ramsey JamesRAMSEY, James (Jim) Alan   -  June 15, 1929 - April 24, 2022

Passed getting ready for another day of adventures in Cincinnati, Ohio, but instead, his beloved Bette Marie, wife of 64 years, called him home!

Son of Alan Read and Majorie Gordon (nee Mills) Ramsey.

Loving father of Geoffrey Alan (Jackie), William Alan (Christine), Baby Rosalind (deceased 1958), Lyndon Louise (Tom) and Penelope Patricia (John).

Adoring grandfather of Elizabeth (Nathan), Joanna, Oliver and Jessica.

Jim was a caring and loving uncle and great-uncle to many nephews and nieces around the world.

He will also be reuniting with his sister Patricia Gordon (Hele) and brother Geoffrey Gordon Ramsey.

CLARK, Isabelle Jean (nee GRIFFIN)   -  Passed away peacefully, on May 24, 2022, at the age of 94, after spending her final days surrounded by loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Olive and Bruce Griffin and beloved wife of 52 years to the late Norman Clark.

With profound sadness the family announces the passing of Richard (Dick) at Centenary Hospital.

Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Rees) for almost 62 years. Dearly loved father of Donna (Randy) and Darryl (Kim).

Cherished "Bop" to Amanda and Matthew. Uncle to Kim, Gerry and Terry in British Columbia.

Lifelong friend for over 70 years to Ted. Predeceased by his parents, Kirill and Eugenia; in-laws, Warwick and Edith, Douglas and Elizabeth Rees.

Richard's professional life started in B.P Refinery Montreal in 1960, and progressed to Toronto in 1980 (Petro Canada).

For the 12 years prior to retirement, he served as International Manager for lubricants.

TODD, Barbara Elaine (nee BRIDGEFORD)   -  Passed away suddenly, at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the age of 77.

Beloved wife of James. Loving mother of Sondra (Chris) Anemaet and Darren (Lynn).

MANDEL, Kathryn Margetta Doyhle   -  February 23, 1953 – May 24, 2022

After a decade long battle with GPA, surrounded by her family and bathed in their love, Kathryn passed away early in the evening of May 24th.

Shore MargaretSHORE, Margaret Veronica (nee CHESTER)  -   Margaret, formerly of Montreal, Quebec, passed away May 24, 2022.

Predeceased by her best friend and husband of 43 years, Bob, parents Veronica and Edwin, and sisters Mary and Sheila, she leaves to mourn her loving children, Monica (Gilles), Kathleen, Michael, Maureen and Trish, as well as her adored granddaughters, Kaitlin, Jessica and Renae.

Margaret is survived, and will be greatly missed by, her sisters, Monica and Carole-Ann, sister-in-law, Peggy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

SOSA, Miles Alexis   -  Passed away peacefully, on May 24, 2022, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto.

Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, July 17, 1941.

His early life in Trinidad was extremely full as he was an accomplished scholar, renowned athlete and elite footballer.

Woods BarbaraWOODS, Barbara Jean (nee SMITH)   -  On May 24, 2022, at age 93, Barbara died peacefully in her home in the Dunfield Retirement Residence, joining for eternity her loving husband Kenneth Stanford Woods, who died in 2007.

She is deeply missed by her daughters, Cynthia Woods and Christine Crowell (Glenn), her son Larry Woods (Deborah Penton) and her four cherished grandchildren, Michael and Timothy Woods and Matthew and Lindsey Crowell.

Hirst MargaretHIRST, Margaret   -  It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Rose Hirst, on Sunday, May 22, 2022, in her 73rd year.

Margaret was the daughter of Domenica Dolores (Doris) and Carmel Paul Tonna.

She was the wife of the late Allen John Hirst.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Jane (Jim) O'Dell and her brother, Shawn Scanlan.

She was a beloved auntie to Meaghan and Melissa and their families. 

Margaret was the cherished mother of her only child, Denise Orrico (Robert) and grandmother to Joseph and her namesake, Maggie Rose.

She was the stepmother to Carrie Tonge (Richard), Mark Vansickle-Hirst (Heather) and the late Bob Hirst (Laurie) and step-grandmother to four, great-step-grandmother to eight. 

DiFONZO, John   -  Passed away at the Village of Humber Heights on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the age of 95.

Beloved husband of the late Jeannette Di Fonzo.

Loving father of Phillip (Sheila), Joanne, John (Lee), Nancy (Brian) and Christopher.

Hunter JudyHUNTER, Judy   - 1937 – 2022  It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Judy Hunter, on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the age of 84.

Judy passed peacefully at Streamway Villa in Cobourg.

Predeceased by her husband, Ken; and her boys, Keith and Rick Hunter.

Judy will be sincerely missed by her daughters, Janice (Marven), Joanne Hunter, Kelley Hunter; grandchildren, Kevin, Lori (Danny), Blake (Megan), Ben (Cassie), Jeff, Shannon (Danny); great- grandchildren, Charity, Kayden, Jaylyn, Aaliyah, Emma and Alex.

Judy was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend.

Her love for her family and friends was evident by the many gatherings, and her famous turkey dinners.

ORLENKO, Alexander   -   With great sadness, we announce the passing of Alex Orlenko.

After a lengthy illness, Alex passed suddenly on May 22, 2022, in hospital.

Beloved husband and father, Alex is survived by his loving wife, Norma MacLellan, daughter Alicia Orlenko (John), and siblings Tamara Klapuschak (Eugene), Val Dragan (Bill), Wally Orlenko, and Henry Orlenko.

Irving EdwardIRVING, Edward George   -   January 27, 1947 - May 21, 2022

Passed away peacefully, after many years of health challenges, borne with courage and humour. 

Beloved husband of Margaret Wilkinson. Son of the late Wilfred Irving and Rebie (McDowell).

Predeceased by sisters Carolyne Miller and Gail Horn eand brother John Irving.

Remembered by sisters-in-law Susan Irving and Eileen Agius (Ron) and many nieces and nephews.
