Trivers EmilyTRIVERS, Emily Justine Luckman   -    1991 - 2022  Emily passed away on May 16, 2022, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.

She will be greatly missed by her loving father "Papa Bear" Joe, "Brother Bear" Clark, nephew Wyatt, beloved feline friend Tyger and all her family.

Emily was predeceased by her mother, Sharon Trivers.

Cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, Emily was often a ray of sunshine lighting up any moment with her brilliant smile.

Forbes CynthiaFORBES, Cynthia Louise  -   After a lengthy illness, at age 70, Cindy peacefully departed this life on May 15, 2022.

She was a loving wife to Stuart for more than 49 years, loving sister to Diane Felstead, Penelope Hancock (who predeceased her), and Debbie Brown (Bill) of Atlanta, loving aunt to Michael Hancock, Sarah Forbes (Peter Warnecke), Chris Forbes (Mary Bartram-Forbes) and Jim Hall (Pam).

Cindy grew up in Toronto. Her first job, at age 17, was as legal assistant to Stuart, almost 13 years her senior.

In her youthful innocence, not knowing any better, Cindy fell in love with her first "boss" (but, with irresistible charm, quickly turned the "boss" tables).

Pazek LaraPAZEK, Lara Moreen   -  August 24, 1979 - May 15, 2022

Lara died on May 15, 2022 at the age of 42.

Dedicated daughter of Mike and Dolores Pazek; loving sister to Mira (Marc) and Kirsty (Andrew); doting aunt to Brynmore and Kai; and loyal friend to many.

Lara will be forever missed and remembered for her deep intelligence, extreme kindness and thoughtfulness of others.

She was a lifelong student, a gifted writer and poet, and art and music lover.

Lara - you will always be in our hearts.

Carolina Cesta (née Pisegna), was born on January 19, 1929, in Collelongo, Abruzzo, Italy, and passed away, on May 14, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 93.

Predeceased by her husband Fortunato and brother Antonio.

Survived by her sisters Maria and Felicetta.

Loving mother to Tony and devoted grandmother to Carolyn, Robert, and Luciano.

Cherished Zia to many nieces and nephews and godchildren.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her family and large community of friends. 

CLELAND, Mary Frances   -  Passed peacefully, in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga, in her 79th year.

She leaves husband Doug, son Scott (Lesley) and grandchildren Madeleine and Jack.

She was predeceased by her younger son Stephen in 2017. Mary was born in Windsor, Ontario, in 1943.

HANNAH, Michael   -  It is with profound sadness that the family of Michael Hannah announce his unexpected passing on May 14, 2022, at the age of 76 years.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, resident of Toronto, son of Roy Webster Hannah and Elizabeth (nee Traegar) Hannah.

Mike was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann Catherine Hannah (nee McMillin) seven months earlier; and brother, Garry Hannah.

WINCHESTER, Frances Gloria    -  Died at Toronto General Hospital on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

She was the daughter of Francis and Thelma Winchester (deceased). Frances Gloria is survived by her sisters, Maureen (Mikey), Barbara and Louella; brothers, Michael (Diana), Gerald, Mervyn and David (Margaret – deceased); as well as many nieces and nephews.

KRITZER, William   -  Passed away peacefully, on May 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

SAGER, Mary Chatherine (nee BILTON)   -  Born June 13, 1954, loving wife of Gordon Sager and beloved mother of Heather (Niko Levesque), George (Megan), and Jenni Sager, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, May 13, 2022.

Dearly missed by her sister, Jane Bilton; brother, Ken Bilton; her sisters-in-law, Wendy Bilton and Evelyn Roberts (David); her nieces and nephew; and all who knew her.

Wickett StephenWICKETT, Stephen Arthur   -  It is with a heavy heart, that his wife of 51 years Georgia and the rest of his family announce the passing of Stephen Arthur Wickett, after a long courageous battle with Lymphoma.

A spiritual man at his core, Stephen was a member of the Toronto West Presbytery with the United Church of Canada and began his career as a Music Minister at the age of 16.

With almost 60 years of service, Stephen worked in a number of churches across the GTA including, Humber Valley, Maple, Trinity United, Applewood, Westminster on Tomken and Westminster on William St. ending his career at Westway in Etobicoke.

Stephen was also a savvy businessman, working for over 25 years with T. Eaton Co., rising to Operations Manager in the Eaton's Centre.

Born in Sarnia, Stephen later moved with his family to Toronto where he was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 51 years, Georgia.

Polzin LorrainePOLZIN, Lorraine   -  Lorraine was a mother who had a great sense of humour and never shrunk from showing her family how to enjoy life as it comes.

Her marriage to David lasted until death did them part 9 years ago, after 65 years together.

A loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family, she passed away happily and peacefully in the company of family on May 13, 2022.

Halpern MarkHALPERN, Mark  - On Sunday, March 13, 2022, at age 62, Trevor Mark Halpern passed away peacefully at his home in Denenchofu, Tokyo, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in North Warren, Pennsylvania, Mark lived mostly in Toronto before immigrating to Japan in 1993.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife Tomoko, adored children Aska and Randy, cherished siblings Howard, Chaia (Moshe), Emily, John (Ann) and sister-in-law Akiko (Tomonobu).

He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews Sarah, William, Noah, Tetsuro and Masayo, and by his loving cousins and his many friends.

Mark was wonderful: brilliant, funny, elegant, erudite, generous, and deeply appreciated for his exceptionally fine character.

Ward EdwardWARD, Edward (Ted) John  -  March 18, 1930 – May 13, 2022

Ted, dearly loved by his wife, Carol, and family Ted grew up in the Beach district of Toronto.

He was the proud son of British parents, Alfred and Alice Ward, and blessed by siblings, Dudley (Alice), Hazel and Dorreen (Joe), all predeceased, together with first wife Jura (nee MacLean), mother of his treasured children Pamela (Mark), Barbara, Peter (Marianne), Elizabeth and the late Catherine.

Survived also by his beloved wife of 32 years, Carol, and step-daughter Monique (Ken); Grandad to Anna (Greg), David (Natalia), Miranda, Alexandra and Nicholas; Grandpa to Connor, Matthew and Benjamin; Great-grandad to Gabe and Alastair. Ted loved each one dearly, each one a special gift of our heavenly Father.

Beloved wife of Yoneo Henry Hama for 61 years and cherished by her children, Melvin (Jean) Hama and Sharon (Robert) Marr. Loved by her grandchildren Aidan and Brandon Hama and Caroline and Emiko Marr.

Remembered by her brother Takao (Sue) Doi.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Denjiro and Fusayo Doi, and brothers Ikuo and Manabu Doi.

Mary was a loyal employee of Canadian Standards Association until retirement. Mary had an energy for life that will always be remembered and cherished by all. She was a hard worker who balanced work with caring for her family and friends.

Heal FrancesHEAL, Frances Shirley (nee COUTTS)   -  1926 - 2022

Died peacefully on May 12, 2022, at the age of 95, at home after a full life where she showed her engaging spirit and style through her love of nature, sewing and all things creative.

Fran will be sincerely missed, but never forgotten, by her 3 sons – Steve Repath (Sue), Paul Repath (Diane), and Greg Heal (Corinne) – as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is joining her husband, Peter, in a red sportscar in the sky to continue their adventures.

Sincere thanks to the staff at Hearthstone by the Lake who greatly assisted Fran in her later years with incredible kindness and care.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon Hinton for 71 years, dear mother of Linda (Doug) MacDonald, loving Nanny of Kevin, great-grandmother of Andrea and great-great-grandmother of Zoephyah.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Dr. Albert E. Hayward and Sylvia Hayward and granddaughter Karen.

Throughout her life, she loved music, enjoyed playing the piano, had many hobbies and was actively involved in her church.

Repol TerrenceREPOL, Terrence Andrew  -  Born on November 4, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario, and passed away on May 12, 2022 in Toronto, Ontario, in his 72nd year.

Terrence is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Suzanne; his children, Meaghan and Maire; and grandchildren, Kayla, Claire and Kristen.

He leaves behind his brother, Dave, and sister-in-law, Gerda, as well as his baby sister, Janice, and her husband, Dan. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Esther; and younger brother, Alan.

Terry's passions were family, all sports throughout his life, and in the latter years, Curling and Golf.

A longtime member of West Hill United Church where he chaired the board and was actively involved in charitable golf tournaments.

HISCOX, Barbara Clark   -   On May 12, 2022, at 85, Barb passed away at home with family, after courageously battling lung cancer.

HOOTON, Geoffrey   -  Geoffrey Hooton passed away in hospital this morning, May 11, 2022; he was 94 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, married for 69 years; and son, Stephen.

We were expecting it... but it still hurts a lot.

GIFFORD, Elizabeth Rose (nee HERMANN)   -  February 6, 1936 - May 11, 2022

Predeceased by her mother, Anna; her father, John; and her brother, John Hermann; and loving wife of Jim Gifford.

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughter, Gloria (David Poborsa); and her sons, Glenn and Douglas (Lynn Meadus).
