Moore JoanMOORE, Joan Anne - It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Joan Moore aged 96 died peacefully at Sunnybrook on January 12, 2021.

She is predeceased by her husband, Blake (2008) and survived by 2 sons, Bob (Mary) and Keith (Gail), 3 granddaughters, Sarah (Aaron), Jane (Gary) and Madeline, and 4 great grandchildren, Ari, Hannah, Rowan and Kella.

She also leaves behind dear friends and relatives including Norma, Pat, Marg and Brenda and newer companions, Marguerite and Andrea.

Iannantuno PasqualinaIANNANTUNO, Pasqualina (Cimaglia) - On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, God peacefully called upon our beautiful angel, Pasqualina.

She was born on January 5th, 1931 in Casalciprano, Italy.

She immigrated to Montreal, Quebec in 1966 with her husband and two sons.

They later settled in Toronto, Ontario were she had her third child, a daughter.

She was a devoted wife, beloved Mother and mother-in-law, and a loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Marroccoli TheresaMARROCCOLI, Theresa - With the heaviest of hearts, this week on January 12, 2021 we had to say goodbye to one of the most amazing and beautiful souls to ever walk this earth.

Despite the restrictions we are all facing these days, her two children (Louie & Tonia), and five grandchildren (Monika, Daniela, Paul, Alexandra and Jenna) were fortunate enough to have spent time with her during her final days.

She knew she was loved and adored and went peacefully.

We know her husband, Domenic, was waiting with open arms in heaven, finally reunited.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Francis; loving mother of Frank (Maryann), Mark (Judi), and Elizabeth (Richard Bauer).

Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Sara (Ian), Brett (Jacqueline), Laurel (Peter), Kaitlin, Erick (Stefanie), Alex (Sara); proud great-grandmother of Jordan, Charlie, Finley, Benjamin and Samantha.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Ivor (Helen) Roberts and extended family both in Canada and abroad.

Morris PatrickMORRIS, Patrick (Pat) James  - 75, of Dundas, Ontario passed away with loved ones at his side at St. Joseph Villa on January 12, 2021 after a fierce battle with dementia and cancer.

He is remembered as a man of thrill and adventure, laughter, an entertainer, dreamer and a reliable fixer of all things mechanical. Pat was born on April 14, 1945 to Winnifred Doris (King) and Jack Kenneth Morris in Bournemouth, England.

He attended Cartwright Public School and met the love of his life, June Ambrose and they married in 1966 having 2 children, Leah Jane (Conners) and Duane Everett Morris.

He is survived by June Morris and their two children Leah (son Damon) and Duane (wife Monica, children Brendan and Erin).

Needham JohnNEEDHAM, John Albert   -  Passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital on January 12, 2021 at the age of 87.

Predeceased by his beautiful and vivacious wife of 64 years, Joan Lillian Needham (nee Chapman); the love they shared for decades will live on forever in the hearts of those who met them.

John was the beloved brother to Joan, Jan, Joy (deceased), Robert, Linda, and Bert who will miss him most dearly.

He was also a kind and deeply caring uncle to John (deceased), Shelley, Lisa, Dan, Jenny, Leslie, Max, Julie, Heather, Stewart, Carey, Matthew, and Beth. He and Joan were often referred in their Toronto neighborhood as the "King and Queen of Parkdale."

NICODEMO, Dorothy (nee BLACKFORD)   - In loving memory of Dorothy Nicodemo (nee Blackford), born January 3, 1929 at Cardiff Wales, passed away January 12, 2021, in Battleford, SK.

Passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2021.

Daughter of the late Norman Allan and Margaret K. (Peggy) Stewart; sister of Judith Margaret (Judy) Carpenter; "Bubbie" to nephews CJ (Kory) and Terry (Stephanie) Moffatt, and to "greats" Shelby and Sarah; Campbell and Ian.

SUMMERS-CHILDERHOSE, Terry  - Passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 12, 2021.

Terry (Esther) was born on January 14, 1939 in Toronto, Ontario.

She met Bob Childerhose while working at Little Bros.  Leasing in Weston, Ontario.

Wilson WayneWILSON, Wayne "Fishy"   - After using up all 9 lives, it' with great sadness and heavy hearts we share the peaceful passing of Wayne "Fishy" Brett Wilson on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the much too young age of 65.

Forever remembering Wayne is the love of his life since 1968 Ginny and their 3 children he loved so much, Bailey (Steve), Ryan (Alicia) and Jenna (Dan) and his 6 grandkids, Zachary, Maya, Zeppelin, Monroe, Vera and Nathan.

Wayne and his inappropriate jokes will also be missed by his sister Nancy (Doug), brother Craig, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and his nieces and nephews.

 

Rumble RossRUMBLE, Ross Austin - At Toronto General Hospital on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Ross Rumble, of King City, in his 77th year, beloved husband for 51 years of Margaret (nee Smythe). 

Loving father of Janet, Susan, Karen, and David. 

He is also survived by his brothers, Paul, Bruce, and Glen and their families as well as his sister-in-law Mary. 

He was predeceased by his parents Austin and Helen Rumble of King City and his infant sister Norma. 

Gruer Barbara VoyseyGRUER, Colonel Barbara Jean (nee Voysey) - Colonel Barbara Jean Gruer, nee Voysey, was born in Montreal to William and Jean Voysey on March 4, 1932.

She was attracted to the Salvation Army through the Girl Guide Movement and became an active member of the Park Extension Corps. Barbara entered the Salvation Army Training College (Seminary) at 84 Davisville Avenue, Toronto, as a Cadet in the Shepherds Session and was Commissioned as a Lieutenant in 1954.

She began her service in several Corps appointments followed by a term on the Evangelistic Field Unit and in Divisional work. She was then appointed to the staff of the Training College for six years and to the St. John's College for Officer Training where, for the next four years she was the Women's Chief Side Officer and Bible Teacher.

After a brief period of service in the Southern California Divisional Headquarters, Barbara returned to Canada where for the next seventeen years until her marriage to Lieut. Colonel David H. Gruer on January 5th, 1991, she was Private Secretary to the Territorial Commander of the Canada and Bermuda Territory.

Kelly MonaKELLY, Sister Mary Mona, OLM - (May 11, 1930January 11, 2021) - Sr. Mona Kelly died on January 11, 2021 at Providence Healthcare after a lengthy illness.

Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Evelyn (Murphy) and brother Doug, Mona is loved and greatly missed by sister Evelyn O’Neil (the late Patrick), brothers Bernard (the late Betty) and James (Gloria), her sister-in-law Audrey, nieces and nephews and her sisters in the Congregation of Our Lady’s Missionaries.

Mona was born in Saint John, New Brunswick where she attended school. She entered Our Lady’s Missionaries in 1951 and studied nursing at St. Joseph School of Nursing, Hotel Dieu Hospital Cornwall, Ontario.

Bugledich JulianBUGLEDICH, Julian Attila - Julian Attila Bugledich passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021, in his 70th year, after a long and valiant fight with cancer.

Loving husband of Margaret (nee Richardson) for 45 years. Beloved father of Adam (Michelle) and Sean (Deborah). Very proud grandfather of Aaliyah (dec), James, Ellie, Tara and Alexander.

Brother of Gabriella and Eva. The only son of Hungarian immigrants (late Joseph and Anna) who came to Australia in 1950 with just two suitcases.

Julian was always a true professional from the Hungarian/Australian Club in Canberra to hotels in many countries and consultancy. He built himself up to a high level in the hospitality/tourism industry through hard work, determination, perseverance and tenacity.

Burello AngeloBURELLO, Angelo - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Angelo Burello, on January 11, 2021. Angelo was called from us at the age of 82, suddenly with heart and lung disease.

Angelo was born in the town of Maierato, Catanzaro, Italy on July 4, 1938, the second child of four for Domenico Burello and Cattolica Direnzo. He immigrated to Canada and settled in Toronto where he married and raised two daughters.

Angelo, devoted husband of Maria (predeceased). Cherished father of Silvana and Albina. Loving nonno of Robert and Isabella Emanuelli.

Beloved mother to Vince (Mary) and Anna (David). Cherished Grandmother to Rose (Guy), Armando (Debra), Tony (Jenny), Anthony (Adriana), Andrew (Adriana), Nancy, Donato (Holli), Virginiam Madalena, and Isabella. Sadly we announce Doug’s passing, leaving behind his loving wife Angie, loving daughters Leesa (Jamie Pietrkiewicz), Annice, (David Passafiume), sisters Jacqui and Julie, and adored grandchildren Daniel, Brittany, Alisa, Madison, Jenna and Matthew.

Predeceased by his first wife Patience (1988), brothers Leonard, Richard, Teddy and Peter, and parents Victor and Betty Baldwin.

Doug spent the first 6 years of his life in London, England surviving WW2 and Hitler’s bombings.

Grammar School, Brunel College and working for Gresham Transformers Ltd gave him a life’s love of electrical engineering.

GOODING, Blanche - Blanche died peacefully in Scarborough on January 11, 2021 at the age of 87.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ronnie. She will be missed by sister-in-law Daisy, her nephews Daron, Stephen and niece Ronda (Eric), as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Samwaru JamesSAMWARU, James Nathaniel 'Nato' - (March 26, 1935 – January 11, 2021) - 

With a heavy heart and profound sadness, the family of James Nathaniel Samwaru would like to announce his passing on January 11th, 2021 after a brief illness of natural causes at his home in Scarborough, surrounded by loved ones.

James Samwaru affectionately known as “Buddy Nato” and “Nato” is survived by his wife (of 65 years) Elsie Samwaru, 7 of 9 children, 17 grandchildren and 5 great grands.

James was born in Anna Catherina (West Coast of Demerara) but grew up in La Grange Village on the West Bank of Demerara in Guyana.

SEEDS, Dorothy - 'I’m so excited which was her favourite song’ ... and with that we say goodbye to our Mom Dorothy Seeds, who in her 93rd year passed away peacefully in her sleep the evening of January 11th, 2021. 

Dorothy is survived by her six children, David, Karen, Pat, Laura, Michael and Debbie, and her sister Irene Preston. Also her 14 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.

A devoted family man, husband to Marjorie, father to Kevin and Ian, loving grandfather to Spencer, Makenna, Delaney, Tyler, and Riley.
