MCCOWAN, George Edward - Passed away peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on February 9, 2021 in his 99th year.
Loving husband to the late Dorothy Margaret McCowan (née Sinclair), son of James Edward McCowan and Isabel Anderson Spark, and brother to Jim McCowan.
Blessed friend to Mary Borda and Cesar Narro and "Grandpa George" to Shelley and Bryan (the "head of the household"). George is remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

NOWOSELSKI, Barry William - 1957 - 2021 Barry William Nowoselski passed away on February 9, 2021 after an uncommon and sudden deterioration in his health brought on by a combination of liver and lung diseases.
Blessed to have shared a wonderful life with his wife of over 34 years, Mary Ann Leon, he is also survived by his children, Daniel and Jacqueline, his father, William ("Bill") and his brothers John (Dianne) and Brian (Diane) and their children Scott and Lynn and Nicole and Adam respectively.
His mother, Elizabeth ("Betty") passed away prematurely in 2015, a victim of Lewy body dementia.

VIRGILIO, Margaret Helen - It is with great sadness announcing the passing of Margaret Helen Virgilio (nee McGregor) wife of the late Vincenzo Virgilio.

Mary was the devoted spouse of the late John Victor for 63 years, daughter of Joseph Bonnici and Jana Xrieha, sister of Teresa (deceased), Emanuel (deceased), Carmen Borg (John deceased), Josephine Schembri (Anthony), John (Lela), Joseph (deceased), and Paul (Mary), loving mother of Albert (Shelley), Joseph, Anthony (deceased), Mary Anne, John (Gabrielle), and Tracy (John).
She was the much-loved Nanna of Stacey, John, and Carrie; Christopher, Sarah, and Jenna; John David and Olivia; and Nathan, Luke, and Dylan, and great-grandmother to Ashton and Matteo; Aurora and Craig; Elliot and Logan; and Chloe, Oliver, and Hazel.

JAMES, Ralph Edward - Ralph Edward James, longtime technician with the Canadian Press news service, died peacefully on February 9, 2021, at the Sunnybrook palliative care centre, after being diagnosed late last year with throat cancer.
He was 77. Ralph, born in Blenheim, Ontario, led an adventurous young life, on a railway track crew in a remote area of British Columbia, and as a telephone lineman in Ontario and the Bahamas, retaining lifelong friendships from each.
He also travelled extensively in Europe, North Africa, and Central America.
Predeceased by his wife Linda, whom he lovingly tended through a long decline until her death from breast cancer.

MAIKAWA, Fumio Frank - With deep sadness, Fumio Frank Maikawa peacefully passed away at, 88 to be with his savior the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, in his hometown of Collingwood, ON.
Frank was a devoted husband to Yoshimi (Susan) for 62 years, a loving father to: Theresa (Henry Woo), Ian (Helene Dinh), Alan, and Gordie, and an adoring grandfather (Ji-Chan) to: Alyssa, Brandon, Daniel, Joshua, Kaede, and Winston.
Frank was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. His parents, Bungoro and Jun, had four children (Mary (George Kudo) Gerry and Ron, Sumi (Vic Hinatsu) Jim and Wally, Frank (Susan Suyama), and Amy (Danny Ichii) Geoff, Harold, and Naomi). In addition, he enjoyed the company of Susan's nine siblings, in-laws, and their children.

Mother, friend and travelling companion to son John, and devoted mother-in-law to Michael.
Big sister to Pat (John), and beloved "Aunt Chick" to Cathy (Frank), Lisa (Reg), Cyndi and their families.
"Kindred spirit" of more than seven decades to Arnold Burgis, and dear friend of more than 85 years to Vonnie Askin. Closer-than-blood to the Hanna, Austin and Cosgriffe families.

NOLAN, Albert Bernard, CD1 (MWO Ret'd) - November 15, 1932 – February 9, 2021
At Northwood Centre, Halifax.
Born and raised in Timmins, Ontario, he was the eldest son of the late Patrick and Gladys (Fitzpatrick) Nolan.
Albert joined the Royal Canadian Navy in May of 1953 and retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in November of 1982.

WILCOXEN, June - June joins her heavenly family.
She died peacefully, on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
June lived to the age of 102 after living a good Christian life but she allowed the COVID-19 virus to take its course and died with minimal interventions.
Her daughter Marilyn was present as she passed away.

ZAIED, Rita Maxine (nee TOBIN) - Rita Maxine (nee Tobin) Zaied, aged 69, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
She was born on April 8, 1951, in St. John's Newfoundland to Maxwell and Perpetual, the third eldest of nine children.
She was married to her lifelong love Khaled for 50 years, with whom she loved to travel and watch movies.
Her greatest pride and joy was her family including her two children, their spouses, and her two grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She will forever be remembered by her family and friends for her extraordinary dedication to faith, kindness, generosity and sense of fun. All of these people she touched very deeply.

CARDILLICCHIO, Antonio 'Tony' - Antonio 'Tony' Cardillicchio, age 52, formerly of Woodbridge, ON, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 after a valiant short battle and complications from the pandemic.
Antonio was born on Saturday, July 27, 1968 to Annunziata and Michele Cardillicchio in Toronto, Ontario. He was their only child. With his love for life, music and family, Antonio ensured that those around him are well respected with his charm, values and support.
The air he breathes are his wife Nadia and children, Michael (10 yrs) and Angelica (5 yrs).

KAVANAGH, Thomas 'Tom' - (July 26, 1938 - February 8, 2021) - It is with sadness that we announce Tom’s passing.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Emma (nee Hepditch) and his parents, Thomas J. Kavanagh and Ann (nee Hammond) of Bell Island, NL.
Left to mourn and cherish fond memories of Tom is his sister, Joan Whittle (Harold, deceased), brother, Ray (Marilyn); the Kavanagh and Hepditch families, a long list of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; as well his CBC colleagues; and many friends.
Tom was born on Bell Island, NL, and later moved to Toronto to continue his rewarding career as a CBC producer.
