MARR, Irene  - Irene Marr of Stouffville, Ontario passed away on August 1, 2018.

Born July 10, 1938 in Bellshill, Scotland, Irene was a loving wife to Bill, who passed away earlier this year.

Haas JohnHAAS, John Johann  -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Johann Haas on Wednesday August 1, 2018. John passed away in his 98th year at Etobicoke General Hospital.

John was born in Sunderland, England to Johann and Harriet Haas (nee Taggart) on February 28, 1921. After graduating Grade 8, John joined the family’s tailoring business.

Dicola ReginaldDICOLA, Reginald Peter  -  (September 20, 1930 - August 1, 2018)  -  Died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with multiple myeloma.

He is survived by his wife Rollande (nee Boulerice) his daughters Marina and her husband Mark Nawrocki and Gilda and her husband Brent Mills as well as grandchildren Fiona Mills and Peter Mills.

Reg was a longtime manager with Scotiabank in Pembroke, Milton, Guelph and Toronto. He loved music of all types and was an accomplished singer, choral director and trumpet player.

Croft MargaretCROFT, Margaret  -  It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Croft announces her sudden passing on August 1 in Mississauga at age 74.

Predeceased by parents Bill and Mary Edney, brother David and sister Paula (Sean). 

Loving wife to Ron for 50 yrs.

Hemmings WilliamHEMMINGS, William  -  With his family at his side William Hemmings passed away peacefully at the age of 95, on August 1, 2018. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Clara, his three children Cathy (Steve), Bruce (Rene-Ann), and Susan (Andy), along with his 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and brother Gordon.

Giel RobertGIEL, Robert 'Rob'  -  Affectionately known as 'Unreal Giel', 'Hacksaw' and 'Gielzilla', died on August 1, 2018, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully, surrounded by family.

Rob was a devoted husband and father, and an incredible role model to his four children, never missing a sports game, art show or musical performance. He was an absolute warrior, overcoming many health problems over the years.

Oleiro HoracioOLEIRO, Horacio Fernando Coelho  -  At age 59, died August 1, 2018, with his mother by his side in Toronto, Ont. 

He was born August 11, 1958, in Santarem, Portugal to Fernanda Dos Anjos Coelho and Joao Pereira Oleiro They moved to Toronto Ontario. in April 12, 1965. 

His interests included fast cars, street racing, working on what we know today as Classic cars and reading and drawing.

Wood EvelynWOOD, Evelyn  -  Passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital at the age of 76.

Predeceased by beloved husband John, sisters Linda and Josephine, brother Ozborne, and granddaughter Lindsey.

Loving mother of Valerie (Mark Olynyk) and Teresa (Chris Ellies).

Hiscocks PeterHISCOCKS, Peter - Passed away on August 1, 2018 at age 73.

We regret to report the passing of Peter, beloved husband, father, brother, activist, and all-around excellent human being.

Over the years Peter has been a founding member of the Women in Engineering Summer camp, involved with the Coalition for Gun Control, and was a driving force for the reduction of light pollution in the city of Toronto.

As a professor at Ryerson university, Peter left his mark on students in electrical engineering and theater courses alike and accumulated a host of entertaining stories he was happy to share at the drop of a hat.

Kalisch HertaKALISCH, Herta  -  Passed away peacefully on August 1st 2018 at the age of 86.

She leaves in sorrow her beloved son Henry, loving daughter-in-law Teresa, cherished granddaughter Veronica. Her sister Hilde in Toronto and her siblings back home in Germany.

RENNER, Mary Ann (nee BUGARA)  - Passed away peacefully at Bradford Valley Care Community in Bradford on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in her 72nd year.

Loving wife of Dennis for over 45 years.

Beloved mother of Heather (Gary), Kathleen (Scott) and Natalie (Chris).

STEELE, Carl John Stephen  - Carl John Stephen Steele passed away too soon, at the age of 55, on August 1, 2018.

He will be missed by his parents, Donald and Sylvia, sons Adam and Colin, brothers Andrew and Mark (Indira).

He will be fondly remembered by his 3 nieces and nephew, his Uncle Duff and Aunt Linda and his amazing friends who were an extension of his family.

Graham BruceGRAHAM, Robert 'Bruce' - Bruce passed away suddenly on Wednesday August 1, 2018 after a brief illness, at Trillium Health Centre.

Loving partner of Sharon McLeod and proud owner of their beloved dog Dexter. He will be sadly missed by his 3 children, Paula (Chris Harvey), Andrew and Michael and 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Henry, Miles and Evelyn.

Born in 1943, Bruce grew up in Victoria BC. A planned trip to the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, led him to continue on a 2 year ‘round the world adventure! He settled in Toronto, to attend the Hospitality and Tourism program at Ryerson University and for much of his career he excelled in the food service and promotional products industries.

TARANTINO, John 'Johnny' - February 6, 1957 - August 1, 2018 - Passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the age of 61 years old.

Brother to Franca, predeceased by his parents Luigi and Elena and his sister Silvana.

Uncle to Dina (Anthony) and Marcie, great uncle to Elena, Violet and Natalie.

Dee MaryDEE, Mary Edith - (May 25, 1930August 1, 2018) -

Born in east end Toronto, Mary enjoyed a happy and unspoiled childhood, surrounded by love. Mary was the first woman in her family to obtain a university degree, graduating with a degree in Moderns from Victoria College, University of Toronto.

After teaching French and German at Weston Collegiate for a few years, she married Charles, a fellow teacher, in 1955.

Chilco MaryCHILCO, Mary  - April 7, 1921 - August 1, 2018

Sadly, our beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

She leaves behind her loving family: daughter Ann Amaro, grandchildren Susan Sellan (Paul), John Cocomile (Debbie), great-grandchildren Stephanie and Adam Sellan; son Michael Chilco (Laurie) and grandchildren Andrea and Julian Chilco.

De Pledge PaulDe PLEDGE, Paul Michael - Paul Michael De Pledge, 39, of Brampton, Ont., was taken too soon on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, as the result of a fatal traffic hit and run.

Paul was born in Blackburn, England on September 10th, 1978 to Michael and Marion. He was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends and loved to laugh.

Paul loved to be the silly uncle and could always be seen taking photographs. Paul enjoyed a variety of sports and outdoor activities and took great pride in being physically fit.

Paul’s memory will live on through his parents Mick and Marion De Pledge and by his brothers and sister Mark (Christine), Colin (Keyden), Susan (Jeff) Gignac.

Andrews HarryANDREWS, Harry "TED" Tedford Gee  - December 9, 1927 - August 1, 2018

Chief Judge, Ontario Provincial Court (Family Division) (Retired) Surrounded by his "angels," with his beloved wife and Irish Wolfhounds at his side, Ted passed gently into that good night on August 1, 2018.

Ted is survived by his partner/wife of 44 years, Judith P. Ryan, sister, Patricia (age 100 years), two sons Jim (wife Theresa) and Rob, granddaughter Shannon and "adopted" son Steve Cheeseman.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rev. T.W.F.G. Andrews and Erma Andrews and sister Joyce.

Wyton GeorginaWYTON, Georgina Mary  - November 27, 1941 - August 1, 2018

Peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the age of 76, with her husband Don by her side.

Born in Toronto, daughter of the late George and Aileen McConaghy. Gina spent her entire career in the airline and travel industry and her work gave her many wonderful lifetime memories.

She was an optimistic person, a true friend and companion.

Unselfishly generous with her time for a friend or family member in crisis.
