GRENDON, Linda Lorraine - Linda passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 71, at the Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood.
Beloved wife of Joseph Knope; loving sister to Geraldine (John); aunt to Jamie (Derrick) and Alastair (Alex); stepmother to Catherine (Doug), Graham (Carol) and Julie; grandmother to Brett (Rebecca), Emy (Franco), Ashley (Kevin), Reid (Ashley), Rachel (Zach), Emily (Ben), Julia (Shay), Ashton and Amanda; great-aunt to Allan; and great-grandmother to Paisley, Indiana, Grace, Jack, and Cosette.

TUTTLE, John Andrew - The family of John Andrew Tuttle is saddened to announce the sudden passing of John, on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the age of 52.
John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Cherrie; his adored daughter, Brittany; his loving parents, Paul (Gwelda) and Janet Meadus (Kim); his much-loved brother, Michael; and stepdaughters, Ashlee and Katherine.
His extended Tuttle/MacDonald, Britton and Edmunds families grieve the loss of their nephew and cousin.
He was predeceased by his beloved Granddad and Nan Cutts.

WRIGHT, Christel - Peacefully, on December 8, 2022, at the age of 100.

FREELAND, Brian - The Reverend Canon Brian Desmond Freeland, died peacefully, on December 8, 2022 at St. John's Convent, a month before his 98th birthday.
He was Associate Priest at St. Thomas's Anglican Church for 60 years, Director of Religious Programming for CBC Television for decades, an avid supporter of the arts, and loved by his family.

GEORGE, Geralyn Mary - Surrounded by the love of her family, Geralyn died peacefully on December 7, 2022, at the age of 71.
She will be remembered lovingly by her husband of 49 years, Bob; and her two children, Lindsay and Reid.
She was a proud and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to the many that knew her.
She had a storied career at the University of Toronto and at St. Michaels College, working as an administrative assistant and admission councillor.
Her students meant much to her over her lengthy career.
She will be greatly missed by her large extended family, including her 6 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews, the O'Briens and the Georges, whose love and Irish spirit will be with her always.
She will also be remembered by her neighbours on Dallas Court and her church community.
Funeral service will be held December 10th at 10 a.m., at St. Basil's Catholic Parish, 50 St. Joseph St., Toronto, ON M5S 1J4, with burial following at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga, ON L5T 1N4. Reception to follow.
If desired, donations can be made in her name to CAMH Center for Addition or Scleroderma Canada.

ACKERLEY, Bernice (nee SLOAN) - Bernice Ackerley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the age of 100.
"Bonnie" was predeceased by her devoted husband of 58 years, William ("Bill"); and is survived by adoring sons, Glenn (Norma) and Paul (Paula); along with grandchildren, Christine, Jonathan, Aidan and Shane, who will forever cherish their times with Grandma Bon.

COLUSSI, Elmo - 1931 - 2022 We give thanks for the life of Elmo Colussi, who passed away at home, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the age of 91.
He will be leaving behind his wife, Silvana, as well as his children, Louise (spouse Ron Gable) and Stephen (spouse Carmen Pelaez).
Beloved Nonno to his grandchildren, Francesca, Silvia, Monica, Mariana and Elena.
Elmo was actively involved in his support of the church, of Villa Colombo Charities, and of various organizations in Ontario and in Friuli, Italy.
Of note are his years serving on I.S.C.A. (Interior Systems Contractors Association), his contributions to the formation of O.Y.A.P. (Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program) through the Ministry of Education, his tenure as Treasurer and then President of the Zoppola Social Club, and his long involvement with E.F.A.S.C.E. (Pordenonesi nel Mondo: Ente Friulano Assistenza Sociale Culturale Emigranti).

Lea was married to the love of her life, the late Gerald B. Ullett, for 61 years and is survived by her daughter, Susan, grandson, Gavin, and brother, Paul (Sandi) Armstrong of Ottawa.

THOMPSON, Valerie (nee GREENFIELD) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Valerie, on December 7, 2022, after years of a challenging disability.
Predeceased by her parents, Vera and Robin Greenfield, she is survived by her dear husband, Hunter; sister, Deborah; two loved cats; family in England and close friends in Toronto, Venice, Italy and Mexico.
Valerie and Hunter were drawn to each other by their shared love of art and collecting.
Upon graduation with a fine arts degree from the University of Windsor, Valerie, an Art Historian, contributed for over 25 years as a Director and Curator in public art galleries in Ontario and Alberta, and in founding the Art Gallery of Mississauga.

Passed peacefully at 96, with Randi by his side.

STATLER, Sandra - Sandra passed away on December 6, 2022, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Paul (Pat); her niece, Lynda (Andrew); her nephew, Ron (Mary); her nephew, Greg (Sylvia); and her four great-nieces, Julie, Dylan, Holly, and Ella.
She was predeceased by her great-nephew, Michael, on August 13, 2021; and her sister, Aynne, on April 2, 2011.
Sandra was a primary teacher with the Toronto District School Board at Christie, Regent Park Junior, and Brown Schools. Her life was enriched by the children and by their families.
From 1970-72 she was on loan to the Department of National Defence, teaching in Lahr, Germany.

SUTKA, Mihaly - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mihaly Sutka, on December 6, 2022, at the age of 80, at St. Joseph's Health Center.
He succumbed to chronic health conditions, worsening over the past year, but he courageously carried on daily till his being called back to Our Lord on the Feast of St. Nicholas.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mihaly Sutka Sr. and Klara Sutka (nee Kovacs); and his wife, Zsuzsanna Sutka (nee Kulcsar).
He is survived by his sons, (Fr.) John, and Michael.
Born in Csengele, Hungary, his family moved to Erd in the late 1950's.
He graduated from Josef Atilla Gymnasium in Budapest, 1961, and afterwards completed an Agricultural degree.

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Anna Popowycz, on December 5, 2022, at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, surrounded by her loving family.
She lived a long and fulfilling 99 years, only months away from reaching 100.

Our motorcycle loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Donald West Purves of Alliston and formerly Toronto, passed away peacefully in Brockville on December 5, 2022, at the age of 91.
He will be lovingly remembered by his high school sweetheart and wife of 68 years, Phyllis Mary (nee Pope); his children, Wendy (Mark), Cathy (Calvin), and Brian (Angie); his grandchildren, Lianne, Christopher, Brandon and Shannon; and his three great-grandchildren.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Ross and Cornelia; and his much-adored older brother, Alan.
Don was a top-tier salesman and marketer throughout his colourful career in the printing industry.

TAYLOR, Audrey May - Audrey May Taylor passed away peacefully, at the Toronto Western Hospital, on Monday, December 5, 2022.
Audrey was 99 and was born in Toronto on June 30, 1923.
She was a dedicated provincial civil servant with the Ministry of the Attorney General and a longtime member of Wychwood-Davenport Presbyterian Church.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Mary (May) Townsley and William John Taylor both of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
She will be fondly remembered by her cousins, Audrey and June, of Northern Ireland.
To her relatives and many friends she was their special "Aunt Audrey" and will be dearly missed.

CRITELLI, Mary - Passed away on Monday, December 5th, at home, with family members present.
Mary is survived by her husband of 33 years, Maurice Mazerolle; her two sons, Sam and Nick; and her cat, Bella.
She would have turned 71 on December 14th. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of Salvatore and Primetta Critelli, who were originally from Pentone, which is in Calabria, Italy. Mary grew up on Symington Avenue in Toronto's west end, close to many of her cousins.
Mary was a graduate of the University of Toronto, as well as Osgoode law school at York University. While she had her own practice on St. Clair Avenue, she worked at Rosenberg-Smith for several years before working at Delzotto Zorzi law firm, until her retirement in 2018.
Mary loved to read, paint, walk, Tai Chi, travel, and of course, spend time with her family and friends.
