She leaves behind her two loving sons Bob and Stanley, her daughters in law Maria and Harkirat and her most precious pride and joy, her granddaughter Emma.

BAKER, Geraldine - Geraldine ‘Gerrie’ Baker, 80, of Thunder Bay/Markham/Barrie, died on January 5, 2019 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
She was born to the late Margaret and Victor Bruce, May 8, 1938 in Fort William, Ontario.
Gerrie moved south to Markham to attend Markham District High School and lived with her older sister Isabelle and her husband Lachlan Cattanach and their children.
Isabelle and Lachlan were like second parents during Gerrie’s teenage years and beyond, and she loved them dearly.

BANKS, Edward - On December 9, 1925, Edward was given life and on January 5, 2019 it was his time to give it back. Peacefully, with his daughter Angela holding his hand and the caring support workers keeping him comfortable.
He moved from this life to be with Joan, his wife of 70 years and family and friends who had gone before. He was the second youngest of eight who will all be waiting for him. His blue eyes will sparkle and his smile will shine brightly as he meets them.
Born in Liverpool, England he experienced the war years and was evacuated, with his younger sister "Betty" to a farm, away from their family. Underaged, he signed up to serve in the Royal Navy in September 1943 until February 1947, keeping many painful memories to himself. He moved on to the Merchant Navy and went around the world.

FARROW, Dr. Grant Angus - We are extraordinarily grateful for the generous and exceptional life of Dr. Grant Angus Farrow, which ended peacefully at home on January 5, in his 85th year, following his recent decline with Alzheimer’s Disease.
As was consistent with his kind spirit and gentle manner, this true gentleman was graceful until the end.
Seven years ago, Grant was blessed with a wonderful new chapter in his life with his marriage to Ruth (nee Peterson). Ruth brought joy and vibrancy to his life, and loving care through his death.

MAIKAWA, Thomas 'Tom' - On Saturday, January 5, 2019, Tom died peacefully in his sleep. While this was completely unexpected, his family is at peace knowing he lived a full life right to the very end. He was always kind, always in a good mood, and was always thinking of ways to make things better for everyone around him.
Tom was born September 3, 1941 in Vancouver, BC to his parents, Sadao & Haruko. He was the youngest of three with older sisters Kathleen & Ruth (the latter who later married Gord Kai). During the war, when many Japanese residents were interned, the family left Vancouver and went to Revelstoke, BC. After the war they relocated to Hamilton, ON, and then later moved to Toronto, which Tom considered home.
KOTNJEK, Rozina - Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Brampton at the age of 75.
Predeceased by her husband Stefan. Loving mother to Stefan (Slavica), Mario, Joe (Sandra) and Andrew.
