STEELE, Carl John Stephen  - Carl John Stephen Steele passed away too soon, at the age of 55, on August 1, 2018.

He will be missed by his parents, Donald and Sylvia, sons Adam and Colin, brothers Andrew and Mark (Indira).

He will be fondly remembered by his 3 nieces and nephew, his Uncle Duff and Aunt Linda and his amazing friends who were an extension of his family.

He formed close bonds with several of these friends for half a century.

He was a respected leader for over 20 years at 9th Pickering Scouts. He was widely known for the fun and frivolity and ingenuity that he brought to youth events.

He was also a founding member of "Canoe Cleanups", whose impact was recognized by the Ontario Minister of the Environment in 2012.

Carl loved people, nature and music and spread his peace, love, happiness, humour and grooviness to everyone, everywhere. This is how he will be remembered by everyone whose lives he touched.

There will be a Celebration of Carl's Life on Saturday, August 11th starting at 4 p.m., at the West Shore Community Centre, 1015 Bayly Street, Pickering.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to "Scouts Canada - 9th Pickering Scouts".
