SAUVÉ, Father Garnet Francis - With family at his side, Father Garnet Francis Sauvé passed peacefully on August 3, 2018 at 90 years of age.
Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Aileen Sauvé (Jones), his sister Yvonne Reid and his brothers-in-law Harvey Reid and Jack Foran.
Lovingly remembered by his siblings Dorothy Foran, Paul Sauvé (Mary McIsaac) and Lorraine Giddins (Gary), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Father Sauvé was ordained in 1957 and served in parishes in the Archdiocese of Toronto and recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of his ordination.
Father Sauvé brought much comfort and warmth to his parishioners and was well loved in return. He will be fondly remembered by all for his faith, his compassion, his humour and his laughter.
Special thanks to the sisters and staff of St. Bernard's Residence and to Marisa Rogucki and Cathy Carroll of the Archdiocese of Toronto for their care in his retirement years.
Visitation Thursday, August 9th, 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Chapel at St. Bernard's Convent, 685 Finch Ave. W., Toronto. Funeral Mass Friday, August 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Chapel with reception to follow on site. Interment at St. Augustine's Seminary - Queen of Clergy Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to The Shepherds' Trust in his memory.
