Pfaff JuanitaPFAFF, Juanita Mary Magdalene (nee MARTINUS)  - Juanita Mary Magdalene Pfaff (nee Martinus) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in her 96th year.

She was the loving mother of Desirée Reinsalu (Valdur Paul) and Howard Pfaff (Caroline).

Nana to Valia (Matt), Karl, Ilja, Adrian, and great-grandmother to Valayria and Maxima. Juanita was born on June 7, 1922 in Prince Albert, South Africa.

She was a graduate of Wesley Teacher's College in Cape Town. Juanita was married for 57 years to the love of her life, her "Bokkie", the late Isaac Moses Pfaff.

She taught in South Africa before coming to Canada in 1964 with her family, where she furthered her studies by graduating with a BA Honours degree from York University in Toronto.

For many years, Juanita was an active contributing member of the Bayview United Church Bridge Club and Presbytery Committee.

Mom/Nana will not only be missed greatly by her immediate family, but Juanita/Jeanette/Aunty Nettie will be fondly remembered by her cousins, many nieces, nephews, friends and former students.

A visitation will be held Sunday, August 26th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, Toronto). The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27th at 1 p.m. Bayview United Church (2609 Bayview Ave, Toronto). Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
