WECKESSER, Luise (Liesel) - Passed away peacefully on September 3, 2018, three days before her 94th birthday.
She was predeceased by her husband Heinrich and son Lutz.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Ralph and Olaf, daughters in law Carolyn and Suzanne and her granddaughter Lila.
She is also remembered by her sister in law Agate and many nieces and nephews and their families in Germany and Austria.
Liesel came to Canada in 1978 with her husband and sons to start a new phase of her life after an accomplished career in Germany where she and Heinrich built a successful business together through hard work. She made many new friends and mostly enjoyed her new life in the new world even after her husband passed away whom she had cared for in his last years. Her last few years were more difficult but she managed to live a full life with the support of her many friends and her special caregivers Lolita, Gabrielle, Helen, Lerma and Maria.
The funeral service will be held at Thornhill Lutheran Church, 149 Bay Thorn Drive, Thornhill, Ontario at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2018 with a reception to follow.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy in Liesel's memory may be made to Thornhill Lutheran Church or The Alzheimer Society.
