Charbonneau ThomasCHARBONNEAU, Thomas (Tab)  - Died on September 4, 2018 at Scarborough Hospital - Birchmount Campus due to complications from cancer.

Survived by his wife Mary Ann (nee Gardner) along with his sons Paul (Heather), Brian, Marc and Jay (Claire) and his daughter Joanne (Larry Arbour).

He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ryan (Kristen), Krista, Nathan, Megan, Anne (Ryan), David, Amy, Bradley, Matthew (Erica) and Laura and great-grandchildren Thomas, Emily, Madison and Blake.

Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

His career encompassed working with CIBC in the Maritimes, Dun & Bradstreet in Hamilton, Firestone Tire in Hamilton and Western Canada, Western Tire and Petro Canada in Quebec and Ontario till early retirement in 1989.

Tab was ordained a Permanent Deacon in 1975 and served the Archdiocese as a mentor in the training program, associate director of ordained personnel and a member of many committees in early planning stages of the program and latterly as Chaplain at Scarborough General Hospital for 26 years until he retired from active ministry in 2013. The family would like to thank all those who ministered to Tab during his illness.

The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, Agincourt, on Sunday, September 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 59 Heather Rd., Agincourt (off Brimley Rd.), on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chalice Canada, Feed the Children or to a charity of your choice.
