LEWIS, Mildred Myrle  - 1921 - 2018  Mother passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a full and rewarding life, at the age of 97.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter Lewis, her daughter Susan E. McDonald (Ken), her siblings Kathleen Brennan, Lillian Woon, Edward Lawson and her beloved mother Mable Lawson who passed at 106.

Her father Andrew Lawson died when she was 12 years old. She is survived by her son David Lewis (Lynda) and five grandchildren, Deanna Curtis, Deborah Belcourt, Brenda McDonald, Robert (Bob) McDonald and Steven McDonald, as well as seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mother worked in real estate for many years, officially retiring at the age of 78 but continued to offer her services to select clients well into her 80's.

She was passionate about life and was in no hurry to depart. In the end she embodied the words of Dylan Thomas "Do not go gentle into that good night; Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

To honour her memory a Memorial Service will be held at The Olive Branch Community Church, 175 Anderson Avenue, Markham, at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22nd.

If desired, donations can be made to The Olive Branch Community Church.
