MARTIN, Grace Edna Gertrude, R.N.,  - January 2, 1931 - September 4, 2018

After a long debilitating illness, Grace died peacefully at the St. Clair O'Connor Community Mennonite Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her parents Absalom and Gertrude Martin and sister Margaret.

Grace will be sadly missed by her sisters Barbara and Winifred of Waterloo and nephews Doug (Donna), Paul (Deborah) and Neil. Grace shared a happy life of 50 years with her devoted friend Daisy Pittis.

She was a dedicated Christian who enjoyed Sunday worship and fellowship.

She was a well-loved, caring and exemplary Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) nurse, serving in Huntsville, Hamilton and Peel.

Grace loved travelling, visiting 6 continents.

She excelled at skiing and was a ski patroller. Grace knitted hundreds of teddy bears for "Children of Tragedies" and her crocheting work was exceptional. From a life well-lived to a heaven well-deserved.

A Funeral Service will be held at ST. JAMES CATHEDRAL (106 King St. E., Toronto) on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
