Eastwood RichardEASTWOOD, Richard 'Rich'  -  Passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Beverley (nee Matthews).

Cherished father of Richard (Andrea) Eastwood and Barb (Kevin) Spears.

Proud 'Hank' to Jessica (Leigh), Megan, Drew and Drew.

Brother of Jayne and Tony. Brother-in-law of Margot and late Michael (Gaye) Matthews. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Rich loved animals, he will be forever loved by his dog Josh and his granddogs Disco, Chief, Zig Zag, Boe Boe and Bear.

Rich loved spending time at the cottage in Muskoka, socializing with family and friends, as well as racing his Gentleman Racer 'Black Jack'. He was a competitive force to be reckoned with. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, tennis, gardening, and skied until he was 80. He enjoyed cheering on his teams: Leafs, Raptors, Blue Jays and Argonauts as well as every Canadian athlete. Richard and Beverley enjoyed travelling, meeting lifelong friends in Eurpoe, Great Britain, Caribbean and Australia. Wintering in Palm Desert with great friends and working on educational programs at Indian Ridge. After a very successful career in the packaging business in 1980 Richard purchased Central Box and Container, no known as The Central Group. Richard took a small packaging company, added innovation and culture and hard-work. He added the independent corrugator and was the first to do direct print flexography. President of AICC Canada, President of AICC World Wide (Hall of Fame, 2008), Canada’s Best Managed Companies Platinum, member of the Rotary Club Canada and ICPF, where he promoted education in the packaging industry were a few of his many accomplishments. He was an innovative entrepreneur and born businessman. He considered his team at both Central and Independent part of his extended family.

Special thank you to all of the doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook, Integracare and CCAC for their care and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
