SPILAR, Esme May (nee BARTLETT) - Died peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018, at Scarborough Grace Hospital.
Devoted wife of 63 years to Oldrich (O.J.) Spilar and mum to Geoffrey, Pamela and Christopher, as well as, mother-in-law to Colleen, Mark and Debra-Lee.
Proud grandmother to Ryan, Brandon, Andrew, Matthew and Harrison, and aunt to Evelyn Barrett.
Esme was born in Cheltenham, England, and moved to Canada in 1951, making Canada her new home.
She had a career at CDSPI for 15 years and during her life she travelled extensively in both Canada and Europe.
After retirement she perfected her hobby - painting.
Family members were provided with the fruits of her labour in the way of oils, watercolours and custom Christmas cards.
By '93, she had spent a lifetime of making her dreams come true.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Canterbury Place for their diligent and caring service.
Our family would also to acknowledge and sincerely thank the nursing staff at Scarborough Grace Hospital for their excellent care during Esme's three-week hospitalization.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
