Laserna EfrenLASERNA, Efren Magno Sr. - ATTY. - Born November 20, 1928 - October 8, 2018, resident of Toronto.

Passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital.

Efren was born and raised in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines.

He was a Lawyer and worked as Chief of Legal Operations at the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Survived by his wife, Zenaida and 6 children: Joy, May, Lizette, Maribel, Bong and Vic, Efren had many friends and was well liked by his colleagues.

He was one of 8 children born to the late Cirilo and Petra.

Efren will forever be remembered by his beloved grandchildren Pauline, John Paul, Jericho, Fatima, Angelo, Marcus, Chrissie, Renzi, Naomi, Lance and Destiny Rose, beloved, caring in-laws Maximo, Federico, Ronnel, Janet, Sherry and Nerissa along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

Efren loved listening to classical music, playing the piano, playing poker, mah-jong and scrabble. He also enjoyed being with his family and having fun with friends.

Efren touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Friends and family are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, October 11, 2018, 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm at 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, On L3R 5G1.

Funeral Mass to be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 265 Alton Towers Cir, Scarborough, ON M1V 4E7 Friday, October 12th, 2018 at 10:30 am.
