LIPSCOMBE, Leonard Joseph  - It is with great sorrow that I announce my father, Leonard Joseph Lipscombe, born in Bath, England on March 10, 1922, passed away in his sleep approximately 7:30 a.m. on November 5, 2018.

My Dad was such a kind gentle man, the social butterfly of the family, quick to smile, quick to say "Top of the morning" and quick to draw attention with his British Charm and dry sense of humour.

He served in WWII as a Radio Communications Officer for reconnaissance planes as an Allied Veteran to Canada and served most of his time in Mumbai (formerly Bombay). My Mom passed away on July 20, 2003.

My dad is survived by myself, my children: Caeley and Savannah, my fiancée Sheila and her children: Ayla and Maya; and numerous other family members in Ontario and spread throughout Europe.

Please take a moment of your day on November 11th to say goodbye to my Dad: another Veteran who fought for what we have today. Dad, go be with Mom and your siblings... Love Pat, Sheila and all your family!

A celebration of Leonard's life will take place at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Road, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1 p.m.

In memory of Leonard, donations may be made to Sunnybrook Raise a Flag Program at sunnybrook.ca/foundation/raiseaflag.
