Iannetta DonIANNETTA, Donato 'Don' John - Donato 'Don' John Iannetta, although unexpected, was called home to heaven peacefully, on Monday, January 14, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old.

Don was born on March 17, 1947 in Civita Superiore di Boiano, in Campobasso, Molise, Italy.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Rose, of 45 years, his son Donny (Vicky), daughter Melanie (Eddie), two sisters Mary (Paul) and Carm (Harold), sister-in-law Theresa (Quinn), and brothers-in-law Steve (Cheryl) and Mario.

He was preceded in death by his sweet sister Sue and his beloved parents, Antonio and Maddalena, and devoted in-laws, Giuseppe and Anna Bellissimo.

Don was blessed with six beautiful grandchildren who truly had a loving relationship with him: Donny Jr, Isabella, Daniel, Matthew, Andrew and Nicole.

In his final moments, he was surrounded by his immediate family, as well as kind and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family members.

The family wishes to thank everyone for this special gift of prayer and love that helped Don begin his life anew in heaven.

Don worked as a dedicated and skilled architect for over 40 years, until he retired at 68 years old. He loved sports and enjoyed watching classic movies. He was well read and had a passion for the arts, world news and politics.

Above all, he will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren, sharing stories and laughter. He was an affectionate and doting husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all, forever in our hearts.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their support, kindness and condolence that has meant so much during this time. Please join us as we prepare to lay our beloved Don to rest.

Visitation at Delmoro funeral home, North York on January 17th from 6 - 9pm, and on January 18th from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 9pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jane Frances Parish, 2747 Jane St., North York on January 19th at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Westminister cemetery, North York.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
