MALACH, John  -  Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 7, 2019 at the age of 88.

Beloved husband and best friend of 67 years to Gloria.

Loving father of Christine (Freddie), Dan (Carol) and Gary (Joyce).

Exceptional grandfather to Hannah, Andrew and Melissa and playful great-grandfather to Kennedy, Ella and Zoey.

John is survived by his extended family of his youngest sister Margie (Dennis) and over 25 nieces and nephews and their children.

John will be reunited with his parents Susan and John, his brother Paul and his sisters Kay, Sue, Ann, Helen and Rosemary.

John immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings from Yugoslavia at the age of seven where he worked on the family farm in Harrow, ON.

The family sold the farm and bought a restaurant in Windsor, ON, where John met his beautiful wife. They shortly moved to Toronto where he found work as an Iron worker.

After 45 years of service, John retired and moved to a beautiful home in Vineland, ON.

John made many friends throughout his life and will be missed and fondly remembered by them and all members of his family and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, Vineland, on Saturday, February 16th at 2 p.m. followed by the burial and a return to the funeral home for a luncheon at 3 p.m. Visitation will be between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 15th.
