MacNicol HughMACNICOL, Hugh Brian - Passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Adored father of Meghan, Cameron (Allison), Colin (Lauren), and Brian MacNicol.

Survived by his father, Hugh MacNicol and stepmom Evelyn and predeceased by his dearly loved mother Barbara and her husband George Kiddell.

Eldest brother to Robert (Julaine), David (Diane), and Scott (Sheila) MacNicol, brother-in-law of Janice (John) Goodrow and proud Uncle to his 12 MacNicol and Goodrow nieces and nephews.

Also survived and fondly remembered by his partner Kathleen Timko, her daughter Emilia, and his children’s mother Patti MacNicol.

A lover of all creatures, he leaves behind his four-legged friend Gus.

A loyal alumnus of Lakefield College School, Hugh made his lifelong friends during his years at boarding school and would remain close with them for all his adult years, cemented by their annual Cornwall reunions.

Hugh got his first taste of Bay Street working at Scotia McLeod on the trading floor. He held numerous positions during his many years with Scotia but none were more important than his role as Dad, where he would proudly parade his children through the trading floor. Following his departure from Scotia McLeod, Hugh moved on to work at Brant Securities where he became managing partner and remained a valued member of the firm until his passing.

Friends may call at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, Toronto from 4-7 pm on Monday May 20, 2019. Funeral service will be held at Saint John’s York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive, Toronto at 10:30 am on Tuesday May 21, 2019, with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Lakefield College School, CAMH or the Toronto Humane Society.
