LEVINSON, Dr. Edward - Born February 9, 1925, passed away July 10, 2019.

Son of Harry Judah and Bertha Levinson (Echenberg) of Montreal.

A great man, patriarch and humble source of advice for all who approached him as a friend or psychiatrist.

He served as a navigator in the RCAF during World War II and graduated McGill University as MD in 1953.

Highly regarded in adult psychiatry, a pioneer in his work with children, he also treated Holocaust survivors and their children. Ed held many positions including McGill University Medical School and Clinical Chief of Psychiatry, Jewish General Hospital, Montreal.

He practiced until six months before his death.

Survived by his wife of 69 years, Lorraine (Engel), and their children Harry Judah (Yehuda) and wife Myra (Chaya), Sara, Seth, Risa and Beth; grandchildren Avraham Yaacov and wife Rivka (Shields), Yitzchak Mordechai Tuvia and wife Tehila (Kossin) and Elisha Nachman (Nathan); and great-grandchildren, Shani, Nechama, Chaviva, Sima, Meira, Nechama Aidel, Batsheva Esther, Nosson Meir and Hadassah Rochel.
