DORMODY, Michael Francis - It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Francis Dormody announces his passing at Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa, on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the age of 63 years.
Michael passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Michael will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sara Dormody, Jesse Dormody and wife Stacey, and Jack Koper, as well as his grandchildren Erin and Jillian.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his mother Bernice Dormody and his sisters Bridget (Paul) Jones, Roxena (Keith) Postill and Joanne Lidster, and dearly missed by his nephews and nieces. Michael was pre-deceased by his father James Dormody and his brother-in-law Edward Lidster. He will be sadly missed by his friend and former wife Colleen Ewing and by his close companion Linda Brady.
Michael 'Mike' was well loved by his family and many close friends for his generosity of heart, his enthusiasm and humour, and his sincere and loving way.
Family and friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. West, Etobicoke on Wednesday, August 21st from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by the Memorial service in the chapel at 1 pm. Guests are invited to join his family for a Celebration of Life, at The Regatta, 65 Port Street East, Mississauga (one block south of Hurontario and Lakeshore) following.
