Chin MaxineCHIN, Maxine Theresa - Born July 3rd, 1941 – August 14th, 2019. Resident of Scarborough, Ontario. Maxine Chin, passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born and raised in Jamaica and migrated to Canada in 1974, to help provide a better life for her family.

Maxine is the 4th child of Charley and Inez Yee, and sister to 5 siblings: Herman (deceased) (Cherry), Patricia (deceased) (Hans), Kay (Desmond), Winnie and Conrad.

She was the devoted wife to beloved husband, Tony, and a loving mother to Antonio (Silvia) and Farina (Gary.

Maxine enjoyed dancing, gardening and caring for her grandchildren, Joshua, James, Justin, Jonathan, Elise and Paul; who loved and cared for her dearly.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham  between the hours of 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A public mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019, at 10:30 am at Prince of Peace Church, 265 Alton Towers Circle, Scarborough, to be followed by a private family cremation ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Cancer Society of Canada.
