Whalen ValWHALEN, Val - Peacefully, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario, with his beloved wife Shirley (nee Grace) of Keswick by his side on Thursday September 12, 2019 at the age of 76 years.

Loving father of Barbara Johnston (Bob Hall) of Keswick, Robie Johnston (Kim) of Mississauga, Karry Cintula and Danny Whalen.

Cherished grandfather of Jason, Amie, Adam, Brooklyn, Ashley, Daniel, Austin, Charlee and Jaxson.

Great-grandfather of Sovanna, Sotalia, Leo and Wesley.

Dear brother of Harry (Vange), George (Rosie), Liz (Blair), Martha (Sandy), Bill (Linda), Andrew (late Gina), Dave (Ann), Aggie (Andrew), Steve (Barb), Sue (Byron) and of the late Margaret (Kevin Dunn).

He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and best friend of 60 years Bill Dwyer (Pat).

Special thanks to doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at Southlake Regional Health Centre and the Heart Function Clinic and home care nurses for all their wonderful care and support.

The family will receive friends at the MW Becker Funeral Home, Keswick on Monday September 16, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday September 17, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.

In memory of Val donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre Cardiac Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.
