JOYCE, John Edward 'Ted' - In his 83rd year, on November 2, 2019, just days after their move to Bethany Manor, Ted passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour after a brief battle with cancer.
Ted was born into a Christian family on December 12, 1935, and born into the family of God as a teenager. He married the love of his life, Carole, and raised a family in Scarborough, attending the Unionville Gospel Hall from its inception.
Upon his retirement from Xerox, Ted and Carole moved to Midland, Ontario. Ted was an elder in the Waubaushene Gospel Hall and on the Board of Directors for Elim Home for many years.
Predeceased by parents Alfred Eric and Edith May (nee Smith), brother Warren and brother-in-law David Pullen.
Survived by wife Carole Ann (nee Phillips), daughters Christine and Lori, son James, sister in law Roberta (Warren), sister Leona Pullen, brother Doug (Zillah), brother-in-law Tom Phillips (Gayle), nephews and nieces Dan (Tania), Andy (Donna) and Karen Butterwick (Dean), Steve (Theresa), Rodney (Sheryl) and Vivienne, Christopher Phillips (Christine) and Jonathan Phillips (Tami).
Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm and on Thursday, November 7th, 2019 from 10:00am - 11:00am. The service will take place in the chapel at 11:00 am. Interment and a reception will follow.
