ZANIER, Santo - With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Santo Zanier announces the passing of a beloved husband, father and Nonno on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the age of 80.
Born on June 5, 1939 in Rende, Cosenza, Italy to Eugenio and Emilia Zanier. He worked as a Master Bricklayer for over 50 years and supported his loving family.
Forever in the heart of his loving wife, Giuseppina. Devoted father to Emily (Lorie), Claudio (Jessica), Jay (Lynne) and Judy (Mark).
Proud Nonno to Christopher (Amanda), Andrew (Divina), Michael (Louise), Jordan (Bianca), Jonathan (Tess), Christopher (Vanessa) and Jennifer (Nicholas).
Loving brother to Gilda, Francesca (Gilda), Mario (Concetta) and Pasquale (Sara). May he be reunited in heaven with his siblings Carlo, Antonio (Concetta) and brother-in-law Antonio.
Santo will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many family and friends, and of those whose lives he touched.
Visitation at Delmoro funeral home, Toronto on December 9th from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 9pm.
Funeral Mass at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, 2100 Jane St., Toronto on December 10th at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster cemetery, North York.
In memory of Santo, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society.
