Spears ElsieSPEARS, Elsie Spears - August 6, 1923 – December 6, 2019 - Passed away peacefully with family at her side on December 6, 2019 at Michael Garron Hospital. 

She is survived by her son Tim (Sharon), her grandchildren Douglas (Lynne), Cassandra, and Melessa, and her great-granddaughter Ava.  She is also survived by her sister Betty Marr and her 6 nieces.

She is predeceased by her husband John Douglas (Jack), her son John Douglas (Doug), and her daughter-in-law Helen. 

She was a dedicated member and employee of the Girl Guides of Canada for over 80 years, a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Cairngorm Society, and active participant with the Riverdale Presbyterian Church of Toronto. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, North York. Funeral service will be held Wednesday December 11, 2019 at 11 am at the Funeral Home with burial to follow. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Elsie’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
