SOLMAN, James John - Passed away peacefully on Sunday January 12, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years Marlene “Marl”, his children Laura (Dave), Janna (Paul) and Darren, his grandchildren Ashley (Graham), Bradley (Jess), Aven, Taylor, Carson and great-grandchildren Kohen, Kenley and Evelyn, as well as brother Herb. He was preceded in death by brother Jack.
ames will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a kind, thoughtful and hard working family man, who loved to spend time at the cottage or tinkering in his garage.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff in the Chemo Lab at Rouge Valley hospital, and the Radiation team at Sunnybrook’s Odette Center for the tremendous care they have provided over the past 5 years. Also, the family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at Rouge Valley for the care and support in his final day.
Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, Toronto on Thursday, 16 Jan 2020 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and on Friday, 17 Jan 2020 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The service will take place in the chapel at 12:00 PM. Reception to follow.
