LIBSTUG, Annalea (nee Gorvin) - (July 14, 1934 – January 23, 2020) -

On Thursday, January 23, 2020, Annalea loving wife and mother of two, passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital, surrounded by family. She was 85.

Annalea was born in Toronto on July 14, 1934 to Jennie and George Gorvin. Annalea met Saul through B’nai Brith. They married on April 11, 1959 and lived in Montreal where they raised two children, Howard and Alyssa.

Annalea saw motherhood as a calling and took an active role in her children’s lives as they grew up. She took great pride in her family and her home. She loved the theatre, live music and playing mahjong.

Annalea and Saul enjoyed travelling across Canada, to South America, Asia, Russia and Israel. She loved being a snowbird and spending time with her friends in Florida and especially Shabbat dinners. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Annalea was predeceased by her beloved sister Miriam with whom she was extremely close. She is survived by Saul, her loving husband of 60 years; her son Howard (Joanne), her daughter Alyssa (Carol) and her granddaughters Sydney and Sophie.

Memorial Service at Steeles Memorial Chapel, Thornhill on Sunday, January 26th at 2:00 p.m.
