Carbonaro SamCARBONARO, Saviour 'Sam' - Peacefully passed away on February 24, 2020 surrounded by his family in his final days.

Beloved husband of Daisy (nee Debattista).

Loving father to Marie, David, Joan, Joseph (Carol), Stephen (Judy), Diane and Robert (Paulina).

Adored grandfather to Sarah Mukpo (David), David, Jacob, Lucas, Zachary, Sophia, Marcus, Owen and Clara.

Sam, above everything else, loved his wife Daisy dearly, along with his children, and grandchildren. Family was his number one joy in life. Sam was happiest during family events and family vacations.

At 18 years of age, Sam arrived alone in Canada from his ancestral home Malta in 1950 with a suitcase, his wit and $10 in his pocket.

His greatest fortune was meeting his beautiful and gentle wife Daisy and marrying in 1955. They had seven children and lived simply and happily in west Toronto.

Sam's cleverness and frankness will be missed by all who knew him, including his family in Malta.

The funeral mass will take place at St. John's Catholic Church, 794 Kingston Road, Toronto on February 27th at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be very much appreciated.
