FERNANDEZ, Ida Marie - With a very sad and heavy heart, we announce that Ida Marie Fernandez, most beloved wife of Norbert Fernandez, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the age 86.
Ida and Norbert were happily married for 66 years.
Ida will be greatly missed by her sons Ivan and wife Christine, David and his wife Pamela, and Alan, and her daughter Sandra and her husband Jim.
Also she will be deeply missed by her 8 grandchildren: Matthew, Shannon, Luke, Laura, Rose, Rachel, James and Alima
Ida had a deep love for her Catholic faith. She was a Prayer Group Leader, Catechism Teacher, and very involved with the RCIA, a lector for 53 years and involved in other compassionate activities.
She will be remembered by her extended family and numerous friends with whom she loved to communicate.
Private funeral has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements with Newediuk funeral home, Etobicoke.
