OZEL, Aydin - (b. August 23, 1924, d. March 30, 2020) -
Passed peacefully at Hawthorn Woods Care Community Centre on Monday, March 30, 2020 in his 95th year.
Loving husband to Nermin (d. 2012). Beloved "Baba" & Father to Hulya (Unsal), Onur (Simrah), Hasan (Joanna), Nazan (Henry), Ediz (Lena).
Cherished “Dede” and Grandfather to Noyan (Pinar), Chelen (Gaston), Koray (Justine), Sera (Tyler), Eric (Kristin), Dayna (Dan), Collin, Carie, Sezgi, Layla, Adam Tyler, Yasmin & Aydin.
Adored “Buyuk Dede” and Great Grandfather to Ela, Sevi, Sebastian, Soleil, Wesley, Daniel, Ava & Benson.
Fondly remembered by his many family and friends in Canada, Kibris and Turkiye.
Aydin was loved and respected across family, friends, and even acquaintances. Hungry for life, surrounded by his family, always ready to sing an old Turkish song after dinner, share a great story from beyond our time, and to tell jokes and laugh with the large family and community he built with his beloved wife, Nermin.
We'll miss him dearly but know that he's in a better place, back with his wife, smiling down on the legacy they created with a wonderful and vibrant family.
A private family committal service will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements with Newediuk funeral home, Etobicoke.
