Rivas RobbieRIVAS, Robbie - It is with deepest sorrow, we lost Robbie Rivas, age 43, the most beloved son, sweetest brother, family member and friend suddenly on Friday, March 27th, 2020.

Dear loving son of Ruben Rivas and his late mother Carol Bennett.

Lovingly remembered and cherished by his sisters; Tracy and life partner Peter, Shelly and life partner Doug, Steven and wife Siobhan, Uncle to; David and wife Christina, Daniel, Desirea and her late sister Nicole, Conor & Caitlin.

His family and many close friends will fondly remember Robbie’s amazing infectious smile that would light up any room and if you were feeling down he would be sure to make you laugh.

Robbie’s passion and his sanctuary was playing guitar, and as we know, he always marched to his own drums. He had a passion for DJ’ing any party and held a high regard for all music and musicians of all ages and genre. We lost a shining light in our lives.

Heartfelt appreciation extends to the Doctors & Nurses at Southlake Regional Health Centre Emergency Department and Trillium Gift of Life and Robbie for giving the opportunity to help other lives.

Arrangements entrusted with Taylor funeral home, Newmarket.  In light of the pandemic, we are unable to gather as one. As a family, we would like to invite you to raise your glasses in honor of Robbie. At 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 4th, 2020, we will take a moment to toast our beloved brother, uncle, family member and friend. Please take a picture of you and your loved ones sharing a drink in honour of Robbie. We ask that you send us your pictures so we can incorporate them into our Celebration of Life at a later date TBD. Please pass this message along so all of Robbie’s Family and Friends may cherish the memories.

On behalf of Robbie and this Pandemic please, if possible Donate Blood https://myaccount.blood.ca/
Donations are also welcome at Canada Helps.org for Covid-19  https://www.canadahelps.org/en/

Please stay safe
Love, Robbie’s Family
