Alonzi RinaldoALONZI, Rinaldo - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rinaldo Alonzi.

He was born on March 10, 1928 in San Domenico, Isola Del Liri, Italy. He passed away on May 21, 2020 at the age of 92, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Rinaldo was predeceased by his beloved and loving wife Franca.

Together they shared a beautiful life, filled with an adoring love for one another. Their home was always welcoming and filled with an abundance of family, friends and wonderful meals.

Rinaldo will be missed by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frank and Severina Bolognese, his aunt Anna Sarracini, sisters and brothers in Italy and France, nieces and nephews and the Ferrante family.

Rinaldo was extremely proud of his Italian heritage and enriched our lives with stories of “la bell’Italia”, as well as his education in the monastery. It was there where he acquired many languages and developed a love of poetry. He was extremely proud of his award-winning poems as well as his annual “Presepio” which he built with pride all year-round.

Rinaldo was a gentle man, who will now be welcomed into the waiting arms of his beautiful Franca. Zio, we will not forget your words of wisdom and the fond memories we have of days gone by.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the staff at Tall Pines Long Term Care Centre, for their dedication and compassionate care.

If desired, donations in memory of Rinaldo Alonzi may be made to: Friends of Tall Pines 1001 Peter Robertson Blvd Brampton, Ontario L6R 2Y3 c/o Residents of Castlemore.
