PROTOPAPAS, George - God called George peacefully on May 30, 2020 at the age of 78.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Shirley.
Cherished by his dear children, Vivian (Tony Sgambelluri), Mary (Marcello Aceto), Katerina (Jack Vitanza) and Georgina (Todd Staniforth).
Proud grandfather to Cassandra (Francesco Cross), Vincent, Christina, Natalie, Anthony, Matteo and Alexandra.
George will always be remembered by his sisters Anna (Tom Mamiatis), Pat (Gus Mitropolous) and Vivian (Bill Doumazos); also by his brothers John (Sophie), Nick (Frances).
He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends.
Private Family Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd.) on Friday June 5th. The private funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday June 6th at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church (west of Black Creek Dr. & north Trethewey Dr.). Interment to follow at Glenview Memorial Gardens (south of Hwy 7, on Hwy 50).
If so desired, donations in memory of George may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
For the safety of the family and friends, public visitation will not take place at the funeral home.
