DOOBAY, Tony - Tony Doobay, 58 of Scarborough, Ontario passed away at Toronto General Hospital Friday morning, June 26th, 2020.
Tony was born in Georgetown, Guyana on July 12th, 1961. He was the son of the late Olga Desantos. Tony and his family moved to Canada when he was 17 years old. He graduated college as a certified welder and worked in the profession for 33 years.
Tony was a longtime member of the Catholic community and served as an usher in his younger years. He loved to collect memorabilia and coins. He loved jazz music, fine wine and spending time with his family.
He was quite a fighter as he survived chronic pain for many years as a result of multiple diagnoses. Tony was a gentle soul, kind, caring, loving and the most unselfish person that loved life and people. He had a big heart with a great sense of humour. His faith was deep and strong.
Tony is survived by Patty, his wife of 22 years, sister June and brother Gary along with many close family and friends.
Tony will be deeply missed by all you now take comfort in knowing he is in a better place.
