Lewis Stratigeas JeanetteLEWIS-STRATIGEAS, Jeanette - Passed away on July 9, 2020. She was 72.

Above all, Jeanette was devoted to her family, and was a fierce advocate for her children and grandchildren.

She was a caregiver who could always be counted on in a crisis.

Known for her sense of style and design, she left every place more beautiful than she found it, whether it was a backyard, a garden, a living room, or a banquet hall.

She inspired her children and grandchildren to do the same.

Jeanette loved listening to Motown, traveling with her sister, and a vodka and 7up in the afternoon. While not Greek at birth, she adopted the best of the culture after her marriage and embodied the Greek principle of philotimo. She was a great cook and could throw a great party, which she frequently did with her extended family.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate Freddy, her son George (Eleni), daughter Jennifer (Tony), her grandchildren Zoe, Sam, Calista and Athan, her best friend and sister Cheryl, mother Margaret (Raymond).

She is also survived by her sister in-laws Kay (late Dr. Frank James), Liz (Adoni), Alice (late John Stratigeas), nephews and nieces Olivia, George, Trish (Ron), Jason (Taylor), Christie (Kevin), Stephen (Nicole) and Melissa and known by “Sugar Mama” by some of her great nephews and nieces Wayne, Bailey, Avery, Max, Madi, Kalia, Luke and Ella.

A wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt, Jeanette was a warm soul and a tireless, unselfish giver, who will be remembered for her unrelenting love and devotion to her family.

Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 the visitation, service and burial will be for immediate family only. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
